Barsha Kabir grew up in a conservative Muslim family in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and moved to Australia in 2014 to study accounting. In Sydney she fell for fashion, poring over magazines between classes, and began collaborating with photographers with a view to modelling. Rejected by most major agencies for her petite stature, she kept going, eventually signing in Sydney and becoming a sought-after face for fashion and beauty clients.

Known for her eye, she regularly creates content for brands including Dior, Kate Spade, Merit, Sephora and Maje. Her work is built on the idea that luxury is a feeling, not a label. She shoots film photography for the slowness of it, and for the imperfections that can't be recreated or rushed.
